Job Description

Join the prestigious Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a Project Analyst based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this key role within the Bangladesh Resident Mission, you will provide essential statistical, administrative, and analytical support for the administration and portfolio management of ADB-financed loans and technical assistance projects. You will be responsible for reviewing technical reports, maintaining critical databases like eOperations/SovOps, monitoring contract awards and disbursements, and coordinating high-level portfolio review meetings. Your work will directly contribute to ADB’s core mission of reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development in the Bangladesh and wider Asia-Pacific region.

We seek a mid-level professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the agriculture, food, nature, rural development, or water resources sectors. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as engineering, economics, or agriculture is required. You must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of procurement and contract administration. Requirements

Education Requirements

A specific undergraduate degree is the minimum educational requirement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Engineering (Civil/Water Resources), Agriculture, Economics, Rural Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

Substantial professional experience is mandatory for this mid-level position.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience.
  • Experience should be across sectors, with a preference for the AFNR and/or water resources sectors.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following combined criteria.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Agriculture, Economics, etc.).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in AFNR or water resources sectors with international agencies.
  • Proven ability in analytical research, data management, and understanding technical feasibility studies and designs.
