Job Description

The Admin and Procurement Specialist position at BRAC offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Economic Acceleration and Resilience (EARN) Project, a World Bank-funded initiative aimed at empowering NEET youth in Bangladesh. Based in Dhaka, this role involves managing all administrative and procurement activities for a 48-month project that focuses on economically empowering youth through education, skills development, employment, and enterprise support. The successful candidate will work closely with technical staff, regional leads, and subgrantees to ensure effective resource utilization and project success.

This contract position requires a Master’s degree in commerce and at least ten years of progressive experience with inter/national NGOs. The role involves implementing strategic procurement initiatives, maintaining internal controls, conducting spend analysis, and ensuring transparent procurement processes in line with BRAC and donor policies. The specialist will also be responsible for inventory management, training staff on supply chain activities, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies. Requirements

Education Requirements

Educational qualifications are essential for this role.

  • Master’s degree in commerce with Bachelor of Commerce (Honors)
  • BBA and MBA from any reputable university
  • Preferably in HR or related field

Experience Requirements

Extensive experience in administration and procurement is required.

  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience
  • Experience with inter/national NGO/relevant development organization
  • Proven work experience with Government, Development Partner-funded projects

Qualifications

Professional qualifications and certifications are necessary.

  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement principles and practices
  • Proven ability in financial management and project resource planning
  • High proficiency in computer applications and financial systems
