Job Description

BRAC is hiring a Senior Specialist, Capacity Development, Agriculture and Food Security to strengthen programme impact across agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors in Dhaka. This full‑time, remote‑friendly role will design and deliver training systems, IEC materials and technical guidelines that translate strategic objectives into effective field practice, supporting the Poverty Alleviation Cluster’s integrated interventions.

The specialist will lead capacity‑building strategies, develop curriculum and ToT courses, and collaborate with government and research partners to promote climate‑smart, sustainable agriculture. Requirements

Education Requirements

Formal academic background required.

M.Sc. in Agriculture / Agricultural Extension / Fisheries / Livestock / Animal Husbandry or a related field

Experience Requirements

Extensive professional experience is mandatory.

Minimum 10 years of experience in agriculture, food security and livelihood development, preferably with development organisations
Proven track record in capacity building, Training of Trainers (ToT) and development of IEC materials

Qualifications

Core competencies and personal attributes needed.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, research institutions and partners
Strong communication and facilitation skills for diverse stakeholder groups

Skill Requirements

Capacity‑building programme design

Training of Trainers (ToT) facilitation
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) data analysis
Stakeholder engagement and partnership building
