Senior Principal Officer (Finance & Accounts)

DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED) is currently seeking a qualified Senior Principal Officer for their Finance & Accounts Department in Dhaka. Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial operations and accounting activities for the organization
• Ensure compliance with VAT and tax policies and regulations
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis for management review
• Supervise and coordinate with finance team members to maintain accurate financial records
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate financial resources for organizational operations

Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Finance & Banking from any recognized university. Accounting professionals with recognized professional body certifications (CA/CC) are preferable. Candidates must have sound knowledge and expertise in VAT and tax policies, along with at least 5 years of working experience in finance officer or similar positions within the microfinance sector.

Additional requirements include excellent command of both English and Bangla languages, strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, and fast typing skills in both languages. The position requires candidates to be up to 45 years of age, though this limit may be relaxed for highly experienced candidates. Experience with Microfinance software (Microfin360) is preferable, and candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, self-motivational, and teamwork skills.
