Job Description

The District Coordinator position at Sightsavers in Dhaka offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to inclusive education initiatives for children with disabilities. This fixed-term contract position until March 31, 2028, requires a development professional with strong partnership management skills and experience working with marginalized communities. The role offers the chance to work with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and government stakeholders while traveling regularly across the district. Requirements

Education Requirements

The position requires a strong educational background in relevant fields:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Welfare, Disaster Management or related field
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have relevant experience in development and project management:

  • Experience working on development or advocacy programmes with marginalised communities
  • Experience in project and partnership management, ideally within an NGO or INGO context
  • Experience working with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and/or self-help groups
