Job Description

Sightsavers is seeking a Finance Officer to join their Dhaka office on a fixed-term contract until March 2028. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, managing cash flow, and supporting budget preparation for international development projects. The Finance Officer will work closely with the Finance and Support Services Manager to ensure proper financial management and compliance with donor requirements. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to Sightsavers’ mission of eliminating avoidable blindness and promoting disability rights across multiple countries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting bank reconciliations, and supporting audit processes. Strong knowledge of accounting processes, financial reporting, and donor compliance is essential. Requirements

Education Requirements

Education requirements for the Finance Officer position:

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience considered
  • Professional accounting qualifications advantageous

Experience Requirements

Experience requirements for the Finance Officer role:

  • Proven experience working in NGO or INGO environment
  • Responsibility for donor-funded projects
  • Project accounting experience
  • Working closely with partner organizations

Qualifications
