Job Description

BRAC is seeking a visionary and strategic leader with exceptional communication expertise to join as Manager, Business Development under the BRAC Education Programme (BEP). The role will lead proposal development and grants management for BEP, working closely with programme teams and other BRAC programmes to design integrated, multi-programme initiatives. This full-time position in Dhaka offers an opportunity to shape and update fundraising strategies to engage bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and corporate partners while maintaining a comprehensive database of donor agencies and corporate entities.

The successful candidate will collaborate to design integrated, context-driven projects that reflect ground realities and incorporate gender equality perspectives. They will lead the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring all submissions are high-quality, competitive, and fully compliant with donor requirements through to final decision. Education Requirements

Candidates must possess a strong educational background relevant to the role.

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Sociology, English Literature, Marketing, or any other relevant subject

Experience Requirements

Extensive professional experience in development sector is essential for this role.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business/programme development, fundraising, and/or partnership management within the development sector

Qualifications

The role demands comprehensive knowledge and skills in fundraising and grants management.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong conceptual and practical understanding of proposal development and fundraising in development organisations/NGOs
  • Sound knowledge of donor mapping and ability to track evolving donor priorities
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full grant lifecycle from proposal development to award and implementation
  • Familiarity with financial aspects of grant management
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grants management, communications, reporting, and MEAL/research
