Job Description

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a National Programme Specialist for Emergency and Resilience to lead critical disaster response and recovery initiatives in Bangladesh. Based in Dhaka, this full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a leading international organization on emergency programming in one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries. The role involves coordinating FAO’s preparedness, response, and recovery efforts for cyclones, floods, and other natural disasters, while building partnerships with government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors.

The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of emergency and resilience projects, contribute to country programming development, and provide technical expertise in interagency coordination. Requirements

Experience Requirements
