Job Description

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking a Police & Security Forces (PGE) Program Adviser for a fixed-term contract position in Dhaka. This role involves supporting the implementation of programs related to international humanitarian law and human rights law with police and security forces. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in law enforcement or training facilitation on IHRL topics, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in English and Bengali. As a Police & Security Forces (PGE) Program Adviser, you will play a crucial role in developing and consolidating the ICRC’s network of contacts with police and security forces while preparing and conducting dissemination activities on international humanitarian law. Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree
Minimum university degree in Law, International Relations or similar fields

Experience Requirements

At least 8 years of operational working experience required
Experience in police or similar law enforcement agencies at SP rank or equivalent
OR 8 years of experience in training facilitation/dissemination on IHRL topics
Experience in NGO or Development Agency sector
