The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD), a renowned non-profit organization established in 1996, is seeking a qualified Project Accountant to join their team in Savar, Dhaka. This senior-level contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work with one of Bangladesh’s leading organizations in disability-inclusive development. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations for the Disability Inclusive Civic Engagement (DICE) project, funded by the Nagorikata – Civic Engagement Fund (CEF).
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (with a major in Accounting/Finance), or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA – Finance/Accounting) will be considered an added advantage. Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in donor-funded projects or NGO settings.
Key qualifications include strong understanding of donor-funded project financial rules (e.g., EU, GAC, SDC or INGO donors), knowledge of Bangladesh financial regulations, taxation, and audit requirements, and proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting systems commonly used in development organizations. Candidates with formal training in project finance, donor compliance, financial reporting, or NGO financial management will be preferred. The position requires candidates to be at most 45 years of age.
The position offers a competitive salary of 45,000-50,000 BDT per month. This is a contract position based in Savar, Dhaka, with office-based work. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period, after which the employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis. The project duration is until 30th June 2028. There is one vacancy available for this senior-level position, and the role is open to candidates of any gender.
