Job Description

The Senior Information Management Associate position at IOM – UN Migration in Dhaka offers an exciting opportunity to support migration governance and information systems in Bangladesh. Working under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and Head of the Migration Policy and Sustainable Development Unit, you will coordinate with stakeholders, support software development lifecycle, and implement information management systems. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills and experience with IT support and digital systems in a humanitarian context.

This mid-level position requires a candidate with education in Information Technology or related field and experience in IT support, information management, or digital systems. The role involves preparing user stories, use cases, and process documentation, as well as working closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Fluency in both Bangla and English is essential, and the position offers the opportunity to contribute to IOM’s mission of promoting humane and orderly migration while working in a multicultural humanitarian environment.

Requirements

Education Requirements

High school diploma with seven years of professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
Professional certifications in database management, networking, or system administration are desirable

Experience Requirements

Experience in IT support, information management, or digital systems in a programme environment
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance processes
Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum development environment
