Senior Executive/ Asst. Manager- Merchandising (Sweater Unit)

Manager- Merchandising (Sweater Unit) to join their team in Savar, Dhaka. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising process, ensuring smooth order execution, and maintaining strong relationships with both buyers and internal teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle buyers independently from development stage to final shipment
• Manage sample follow-up including development, fit, PP, and shipment samples
• Ensure smooth order execution as per buyer requirements
• Prepare accurate and competitive product costing (yarn consumption, CM, accessories, washing, etc.)
• Maintain continuous order follow-up to ensure on-time production and shipment
• Operate and manage merchandising activities through ERP software
• Develop and maintain Time & Action (T&A) plan and monitor accordingly
• Coordinate with knitting, linking, washing, finishing, quality, and commercial departments
• Source yarn and accessories as per buyer specifications
• Maintain effective communication with buyers and internal teams
• Ensure quality standards and compliance are maintained

Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a relevant field. A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Sweater Merchandising in a reputed RMG factory is mandatory. The applicants should have experience in the garments, group of companies, and sweater industry. Candidates must be between 30 to 35 years of age and have strong knowledge of sweater gauge, knitting techniques, yarn consumption, and costing structure.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or relevant field
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Sweater Merchandising in a reputed RMG factory
• Mandatory experience in ERP operation, sample follow-up, order execution, costing, and order follow-up
• Strong knowledge of sweater gauge, knitting techniques, yarn consumption, and costing structure
• Experience handling European/USA buyers will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
